Hey all, this is Tony. I’m going to RailsConf next week. Daniel Wanja (of onrails.org) and I
will be giving a hands on tutorial on Thursday about Powering AIR
Applications with Rails. We have a ton of material, and if time
allows I’ll talk a bit about RubyAMF.
If you’re not coming to the tutorials let me know if you’re coming to
the conference anyway and we can meet up and talk about RubyAMF.

If you’re by any chance going to Rails to Italy. Check out Peter Armstrongs’ speach, there will be a (short) RAMF plug. Thanks Peter!

Just wanted to shout out to Tony Hillerson of Effective UI who did a great job at the Flex on Rails session. Unfortunately I won’t be at the wednesday session because my flight leaves at the same time. So again thanks Tony for the great job!
I met so many great people from Adobe and the different teams. Thanks to all!

I’m going to be taking a 2 week vacation – RubyAMF will get no love until I’m back. I know there are a couple issues open in email – I’m really sorry guys, however I really need this break. As soon as I get back I’ll finish 1.3.4 for everyone.
And I’d like to finally announce that I’ll be at MAX. Can’t wait
. I don’t know my schedule yet, I’m just gonna wing it. I’ll for sure be at Flex on Rails given by Tony Hillerson on Monday.
Maybe I’ll see you there!

Simeon Bateman put together a nice demo app for RailsConf to show off the power of Flex and Rails. He’s got three examples – an HTTPService example, weborb, and RubyAMF. Check them out.

Be sure to check out the Flex on Rails session at MAX with Tony Hillerson of EffectiveUI.
Here’s the session description:
Learn how to integrate your Flex applications with a Ruby on Rails back end. Topics include remoting, using ActiveRecords in Flex, and the Flex/RoR SDK. Finally, learn how to deploy your Flex application to Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR).
RubyAMF exposure will be limited, but thanks goes to Tony for even considering RubyAMF to be part of his presentation. Thanks Tony!
