SSR 2

I’ve beefed-up SSR with numerous new features and improvements. I’ve updated OSFlash with new examples, and included a couple examples in the download. I’ve also changed the package structure, as I’m untying myself from the rubyamf package. Download and enjoy.

UPDATE: Check out the SSR 2 Breakdown.

Hi,

Thanks for this release and your work.

AmfPHP is a strange choise on rubyamf’s blog ! :-)

Is it possible to have one example with Flex & RubyAMF using the VO classes to transfert data ?

In fact, just an example who use full potential of RubyAMF with RoR and Flex source code.

Thanks,
Cyb.

P.S.: Sorry for my english ;-)

I am very interested in this but from an outsider’s view it would help to see some examples of what you offer and some docs about what it works with… how it works. Basically just enough information to get a taste of what you are doing rather than a description alone. There are thousands of libraries we can download… heh. Yours sounds great, could you post some more information?

@cyb,

Yeah the AMFPHP reference was just for stress testing demo. When you’re using JMeter for stress testing, it doesn’t matter which Flash Remoting implementation you use. I just happened to use amfphp cause I had it handy and running. Sorry :( .

Ahhh. I love the smell of fresh code!
Looks great! Only the domain packagename is something to get use too… :-)

Great job, Aaron!

Ha. Thanks. Yeah niarbtfel was a weird one. It’s “leftbrain” spelled backwards.

What about setCredentials & authentication? Is it still applicable to SSR2 + RubyAMF 1.5?

@mono,

Shoot, I took out the setCredentials method and forgot to put it back in. Doh! I’ll post an update.

SSR2 doesn’t have anything to do with RubyAMF per-say. You can use SSR with any remoting gateway. SSR is just the AS3 framework for remoting.
