RubyAMF Rails Introduction Screencast

Here is an introduction to RubyAMF on Rails screencast. Definitely check it out.

Update: here is a compressed version of the same screencast

Couple notes that weren’t mentioned in the screen-cast.

- RubyAMF works the same with Flex, Flash 9 / Flash 8.
- Specifying recordset formats is not neccessary for Flex RemoteObject’s.
- Around filters, and Class filters will be implemented in a future release
- Having to restart Rails is a pain, sometimes it’s needed. sometimes not. A fix for this will be released as well.

[...] Aaron Smith just released version 1.0 of RubyAMF – An open-source (MIT) remoting application for Ruby and Rails. This version is stable and it has really nice remoting implementation for Rails that makes it possible to use AMF right inside your controllers (i.e., no need for service classes). You can read all about it here. Aaron has also posted a great screencast tutorial on getting started with RubyAMF on Rails. [...]

Hello ,

As there is a concept of remoting in .net,
is this possible to deploy the components in ROR and to make these components communicate with each other as done in remoting concept?
Is this possible in ROR?
Whats the logic t implement this thing in terms of architecture MVC?
Please guide me.

Thanks
Harbans

I’m looking for the screencasts, but the links are all dead. I really want to learn about RubyAMF and how I can integrate it into my Telephone Dialer Flex application.
